If you’ve developed any Bootstrap code snippets yourself which you think might be of use to other people, please forward them along and we’ll try to include them in the snippets pack (and provide full credit). It’s hoped that these snippets will continue to be of use to users of ThemeFlood themes. Those are the snippets to continue using with our older themes.

When you download and uncompress the snippets pack, there is a sub-folder inside marked ’ Older Snippets For Bootstrap 3’. We are still distributing the older Bootstrap 3 snippets. So you should be able to quickly identify older snippets and see the new ones in your RapidWeaver snippets window. To avoid the inevitable problem of new snippets overwriting old ones (or users accidentally placing new snippets in old themes and finding they don’t work) all these updated snippets are now prefixed Bootstrap 4 in your snippets window. Obviously some people will still be using our older versions of themes and Bootstrap 3.
The snippets pack remains totally free of charge to download. You can grab it using the link on any theme product page or head over the the official GitHub page. The revised snippets pack is now available to download. Many thanks to those of you who helped with the testing! A few snippets have been deleted (to correspond with components being removed from Bootstrap 4) and a couple of new ones (like Cards and Masonry Grid) have been added. This week we’ve completed comprehensive testing and updates to the snippets pack therefore ensuring everything is 100% Bootstrap 4 compatible for you. Without question, this has saved our theme customers a fortune in otherwise needing to buy extra RapidWeaver addons to accomplish simple things.Ībout three-quarters of the code snippets were found to still work perfectly under Bootstrap 4, but several others failed to work. These 30 or so code snippets get installed into RapidWeaver and let you quickly drag-and-drop Bootstrap components directly into your webpages. It will also tie-in nicely with the release cycle of RapidWeaver and compliments other changes that have been made to our theme designs in recent weeks.įor several years (since we first started using Bootstrap in our themes) a free RapidWeaver 'Snippets Pack’ has been available. There are some very exciting new additions in Bootstrap 4, and that’s our reason for getting it added to our themes and into circulation right now. However we’ve been using it for several months in important projects, and it’s worked flawlessly. It should be emphasised again that Bootstrap 4 is still currently provided as an Alpha (pre-release). Additionally some existing components remain but have required updating (in reflection of HTML or Javascript changes). This ‘version 4’ update is a significant update to what is already by-far the most popular frontend web development framework available.Īs part of the Bootstrap 4 update, some components have been removed and new ones have been added. Over the past couple of weeks, all free and paid ThemeFlood themes have been updated with support for Twitter Bootstrap 4.
